My wife and I had decided we needed to get a new car. So, since we had dealt with community Kia in the past, we decided to give them a fair shake at trying to get our business once again. My wife had been talking to the credit unions we deal with and Jose Arevalo at KIA from 9 AM to 7 PM. Even though both my wife and I have a credit rating of over 700, we could only get an APR of 7.4%. But the KIA Finance Department was able to give us a 5% APR. The people running the Baytown Community KIA are very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and the most importantly, very patient. I have no problem sending business to these people. They took care of us very well. When our business was all done, it was actually past closing. They offered to have our vehicle cleaned inside and out, then deliver to our home address the following day by noon. As far as I was concerned this was the icing on the cake.
We bought a 2022 Kia Carnival, brand new, with the Platinum and Tire/wheel warranties from here . We have only put 25k on the car. I brought the car in to get serviced and to understand, why the car was shaking when we drove it. We found out that the continental tires are separating on the outer walls of the tires even thought the tread was still very good. That is when the fun began. First the service dept had no record of my warranties, (I bought the car there and not my first time there? ) Secondly I thought the warranty would cover the tires. Not! Oh it only took me 4hrs for them to let me know. Don’t bother wasting your money with their Warranties they don’t honor Bumper to Bumper or their Wheel/tire warranty. You are better off getting one from Discount , Walmart , Sam’s or Costco! I have other issues with the car, the hatchback hydraulic lift has cover that keeps coming off not allowing the hatchback to close automatically and drift down. They were suppose to order the boat last time and call me back to replace it. It has been several months. The Carnival has a recall on the fuse it is supposed to be ordered let’s see if they call me back?
We had Chris as our salesman and he was fantastic! He wasn’t pushy and was so honest with us . We ended up purchasing a 2024 telluride sx and he even took his time explaining all of the features of the vehicle at the end . Definitely ask for Chris !

Was looking to buy a used car they had, little did I know it was stacked with some ridiculous recondition fee. They would not budge on the price. Gave me excuses they price within 200 miles of the lowest car. Not to mention they said they could auction the car and get more. All these argumentative sales tactics to convince me they were justified in their price. This car has been on their lot for 80+ days. Which is crazy they would keep it for that long, you would think they want to sell it off asap. Nope. Obviously the price they had was too high. I tired to get them to come off the price and drop the recon fee but they still did not budge. Offered to trade in my car but not shockingly they lowballed my trade. I told them about my car max offer and they didn’t want to even hear it. In all my years buying cars I’ve never not had a dealer not negotiate, especially in this financial time we are in. Makes sense why they have a lot full of cars.
Gregory was the rep I worked with. He had a combative dialog during negotiations. I’m sure this comes top down from leadership and that’s where I have my true problem. You guys should know better, please train your staff to negotiate with class.
Anyways I guess it wasn’t all loss because we did end up buying a car…. At another dealer, Lexus of Lakeway. Now that’s a dealer with service and class. So thanks community Kia for nothing other than you missed a sale.

My wife bought her first Telluride here yesterday. We dealt with Gerald Bailey and he was an amazing salesman. Was very open and honest with us. Didn’t try to play us on anything. We even went to GMC to look at an Acadia, and the salesman there was the exact opposite. Dealing with Gerald definitely had a big part in our decision to get the car that we did. Great person, and again, great salesman.
Purchased my daughter's graduation car here back in May. Needed something small, economical, and very reliable as she's off to college and will be putting some miles on it for sure. Chris Mooney was very transparent from the get go when negotiating the sales price by phone, and I couldn't have asked for a more helpful salesperson. He had everything ready to go when I arrived so it was quick sign and drive. The car has performed wonderfully, and my daughter was so happy with the all the options that her new Kia Soul provided. I highly recommend them.
We had a great experience. We arrived knowing what we wanted to buy. We got respectful treatment from Brad, the salesperson. No pushy tactics or pressure to buy something more than what we came for. Hourly in the finance department did a great job in getting us a deal that matched our pre approval letter and earned us a manufacturer rebate. Shee we also clearly and honestly explained all coverage options. Managers followed up after the transaction was complete to ensure we were satisfied with the experience. I would readily recommend Community to anyone seeking a vehicle.
I've never thought about buying a Kia, but Gabby made it super easy to make my decision. I shopped for 3 months before purchasing my vehicle. The only thing that really convinced me was how quick Gabby got everything done. She didn't ask for much other than what I wanted in a vehicle and she found the right one. Finance was a pleasure to talk to as well. Fun guy and very knowledgeable. Thank you community Kia!
